Original 1939 ASS Avalanche ShovelThis is an original 1939 avalanche snow shovel made by ASS (Ace) of Munich in 1939. Many of these were sold to Switzerland which is why many people mistake them for Swiss; there are Swiss acceptance markings but they were made in Germany and did see use with the Germany army. This was never issued and shows only a little wear from storage. The shovel handle comes off to better fit into a backpack. I have one of these in my car and have dug myself out

This is a very good quality set. The plastic is sturdy and the colors are nice. The soap dispenser has a good capacity and shouldn't need refilling very often. The wastebasket is smaller than the one I was using which was rated as a 4 gallon size. I would say this one is about half that. The toilet brush was in 3 parts and was easy to screw together. Since I don't use bar soap, I popped out the drain insert from the soap dish and used the base to put the dispenser in. That will keep it from dripping soap on my counter. All in all, good value for money and I will buy a second set.
