This is the short guard version of the ES 335 pickguardintroduced in 1961 as a cost saving measurewhich does not extend past the bridge pickup toward the bridge. It features a five ply construction, rolled edges, and its original nickel bracket. The guard has developed some typical age related curl but remains within usable spec, making it an ideal vintage
